We just need some passion

I don't know about you guys, but it has been one crazy hot summer here. Seriously.  I know I shouldn't complain that it's so hot, but it really is stinkin' hot. Granted, my definition of hot is going to be completely different than someone who lives in...let's say California or Texas. But for Washington, it's crazy. I can't even remember the last time it rained out here. So in celebration of the beautiful weather, I took a nice little trip to Coscto to buy some beer. And while I was there I stumbled across some tasty things in the area where the liquor is kept.

Doesn't that look good? Now after trying it...it does have too much of a banana taste for me. I added a little bit of club soda to make it spritzy and all in all, it was pretty good.

They say that one bag is equal to a 1.75l bottle of regular malibu. Either way, it's delicious.

Now back to nails. While on my way to Coscto, I took some pictures of my mani when I was in the car (definitely not while I was driving). I have Orly's Passion Fruit which is a bright pink. Almost like my neon pink by Sinful Colors. You know...the one that is just called "Pink"? Anyways. And then I topped off my mani with CND Effects in #564 Amethyst Sparkle. Which if you haven't tried any of CND's polishes, they are AMAZING. I had a hard time finding them for the longest time. They have it at some beauty supply stores and salons. Check them out if you can.

Your Hut or Mine

Essie is another brand that has the cutest names for their polishes. This week's pink Wednesday is going to be Essie's Your Hut or Mine, which came out earlier this year. It's a nice dusty pink/rose color with very VERY fine gold shimmer to it. You can barely see it in any picture but if you tilt your nail just right, you can see it. I like this color for fall....it's not too bright but it's still feminine. Slightly reminds me of vintage dresses for some reason. Makes me want to put on a apron and bake some cookies.

And on a person note, what a flippin' ridiculous week this was. So stressful at work :( and on top of that, I've been breaking all my nails.
SEE! Look how sad my right hand looks. I broke my middle finger nail today and almost bled. Now it's pretty tender. Wahhhhh it makes me want to cry.

871 Pink?

Pink Wednesday! Pink Wednesday! Pink Wednesday! Heyyyyyyyyy! So today I have a polish by Sinful Colors. Usually they have these cute little names for their polishes. But...I don't know if it's just an old color or what...but it's just called "Pink". I have had it for a while so it is possible that they decided to not be so creative with the name. However, it is by far one of my favorite polishes. It's a super-neon-bright-in-your-face pink. I usually like to do a stamp or some sort of thing over it, but today I just did Crown Me Already by OPI on the accent nail. There are so many glitters coming out for the holiday season! I prefer this one. It goes with practically everything and it's really easy to work with.

Strawberry Lemon Drop

It's pink Wednesday! Oh heyyyyyy. The week is almost over. And it's November! Holy guacamole.
So today, I took my pink shatter and decided to layer it against Sally Hansen's Mellow Yellow. Like a strawberry lemon drop. Or pink lemonade. Both of which are very delicious.

I'm liking the colored crackle more than the OPI black shatter. I like the formula of the China Glaze a bit more than OPI, but it could also be because I've used them a lot less.

....Now a real strawberry lemon drop from Duke's. Not only do they have the best chowder...they have a fantastic happy hour!

Come To Poppy....

OPI has the CUTEST names....let me tell you. Whoever is making up this stuff is a genius. Anyways....on with the important stuff. Come To Poppy is this really pretty pink with silver/white shimmer to it. A bit hard to see in the actual photos. But trust me, it's there and it's lovely. Then of course I had to stamp it with one of my Bundle Monster plates. I used BM-223 for this. Ignore the pinky nail...I kinda missed my nail and got the image on my finger. >.<

Perfect Barbie Pink

Why hellllooooo :)
So in honor of pink Wednesday and my first blog post on this page ::drum roll please:: here is one of my FAVORITE pinks from this last summer. First of all, let me start out by saying that I love love love Zoya polishes. I was introduced to them a few months ago when Jules was included in my Birchbox. Ever since then, it's been love at first sight...er swatch. So this pretty little thing is Kiki. Super bright pink with tiny pinkish silver glitter. The glitter is so fine, there is no problems with application or removal. It's pretty opaque and you only really need one coat. I did 2 out of habit. Then for fun, I used my Konad stamping plates and stamped my thumb with a cute kitty and my ring finger with a flower. Like I said, I had no issues with the glitter when removing. All in all, I love this polish.
